Frequently Asked Questions
How does SiteSync save me money on electricity costs?
SiteSync saves you money in several key ways:
Accurate Billing:
Many campgrounds still charge a flat electricity fee for all sites. This often underestimates actual usage, especially for large RVs or guests with EVs. SiteSync ensures you charge what’s actually used — and as electric demand grows, so does your revenue.
No More Human Error:
Traditional meters require manual reads — by staff or campers — and are prone to mistakes or dishonesty. SiteSync’s real-time, remote metering ensures instant, accurate usage data without added labor or risk of error.
Theft Prevention:
Turn off electricity to individual or grouped sites with a single click. Prevent guests from accessing power in the off-season or tapping into other campers' power.
Alerts and Issue Mitigation:
Receive automated alerts for potential electrical issues before they become costly problems.

There’s no cellular coverage at my campground. Can I still use SiteSync?
Yes. SiteSync’s included modem connects via AT&T or Verizon. If neither is available, you can connect the Gateway using a standard ethernet cable.
What is a LoRa network?
LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) is a low-power network that transmits small amounts of data over long distances — ideal for remote or rural areas like campgrounds
What does 30dBm mean, and how does it compare to competitors?
dBm measures signal strength. SiteSync’s Gateway outputs at 30dBm — roughly 1000 milliwatts — delivering up to 20 square miles of coverage, one of the strongest in the industry.
How do I install the SiteSync Gateway?
SiteSync is designed for easy self-installation. Your shipment includes illustrated instructions. Our U.S.-based support team is also available for help anytime.
Everything needed is included — except the mounting pole. Thanks to the built-in cellular modem, no internet wiring or fiber is needed.
How does the included cellular data work?
SiteSync includes its own cellular modem and data plan — no separate SIM card or ISP required. It auto-connects to AT&T or Verizon, and if neither are available, you can use ethernet.
- You don’t pay a separate data fee — it’s bundled into your SiteSync monthly subscription.
- Data is exclusively for SiteSync functionality. Using it for other purposes is prohibited and will disable the modem.
Do you offer financing for hardware costs?
Yes. Financing is available through our partner, Credit Key, with Net-12 month terms and limits up to $1,000,000.
How does the disconnect/reconnect process work?
You can pause your subscription during the off-season with no ongoing monthly fees. Here’s how it works:
- Give us 2–3 weeks’ notice before shutdown. A $150 one-time disconnect fee applies.
- In spring, give another 2–3 weeks’ notice. A $150 reconnect fee will be added to your first reactivated bill.
- Cellular modem is disabled
- Meters removed from the SiteSync platform
- No alerts, diagnostics, or warranty support available
- Your warranty clock continues during the pause
- No pro-rated monthly bills for partial-month disconnects
- 5% Jamestown discount is paused until you’re reconnected and paid
How does the 5% Jamestown discount work?
As a SiteSync customer, you receive 5% off all other Jamestown Advanced Products — including picnic tables, fire rings, pedestals, and more (SiteSync hardware excluded).
- Can be combined with our Quantity Discount (10+ units)
- Cannot be combined with other sales (e.g. trade shows)
- Applies to product cost only (not freight, handling, or tax)
