This fee can fall significantly short of actual usage, especially for large-volume consumers such as large RVs. As electric vehicles continue to grow in prominence, this will only become a more critical revenue source for campgrounds.
No More Human Error: Non-smart meters need to be read and reported by a staffer, which takes time and can come with mistakes, or by the camper themselves, who may be untruthful. Real-time remote metering means instant, accurate reads without the labor or chance of errors.
Theft Prevention: With SiteSync, you can switch off the electricity to individual or groups of sites remotely at the tap of a button. No more campers siphoning from other campsites or using your electricity in the off-season.
Alerts and Issue Mitigation: SiteSync will alert you of anticipated or existing issues that can otherwise prove costly if not recognized and dealt with quickly.
The included cellular modem can connect to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and US Cellular. If your campground does not have coverage for any of the above, an ethernet connection to the gateway will be required.
LoRaWAN stands for Long Range Wide Area Network. It’s a type of network that’s designed to connect devices over long distances with low power usage. It can transmit small amounts of dataover many miles, even in challenging conditions, like in rural areas.
dBm is a measurement of the power level of the signal expressed by the SiteSync Gateway. 30dBm corresponds to approximately 1000 milliwatts — an industry-leading strength that provides 20 square miles of coverage.
SiteSync was designed to be easy to install by our customers. Gateway shipments will include detailed, illustrated instructions for a self-install. Our support experts will of course be available to you if you need troubleshooting or assistance.
Everything you need for installation is included in your shipment — except for a pole / something to elevate the Gateway. Since the cellular modem is included, you don’t need to run wires or fiber lines for internet connectivity.

A cellular modem and data is included to connect your SiteSync system to the internet. It will automatically connect to the stronger of AT&T or Verizon networks. If neither of these networks are available, an ethernet connection to your existing internet will be required.
You do not pay a separate monthly fee for data. Cellular data is included in the SiteSync monthly fee.
Cellular data is included to support SiteSync functionality. We do not include data for any other purpose. Using the modem and data for any other purpose than operating SiteSync is prohibited and will deactivate the modem.

We understand that campgrounds cannot take on additional expenses while closed for the season. That’s why, if you choose, SiteSync will not bill you any monthly fees while you are closed for the season. Provide us with 2-3 weeks’ notice of when you would like your system disconnected for the winter. We will charge you one $150 disconnect fee for us to bring your system offline. The disconnect fee covers our time to disconnect your cellular modem, remove your meters from the SiteSync platform, and deactivate your SiteSync account. When it is time for you to reopen for the spring, provide us with 2-3 weeks’ notice and we will bring your SiteSync account back online. We will add one $150 reconnect fee to your first month’s subscription bill. The reconnect fee covers our time to reactivate your cellular service, establish a cellular connection at your location and verify signal health, reinstate your meters in the SiteSync platform, reactivate your SiteSync account, and run hardware and meter diagnostic health checks.
It is important to note that we turn off your cellular modem and deactivate your account if you choose to disconnect for the winter. This means you will not receive any alerts, no health checks will be performed, and you will not be eligible for meter warranty support as internet diagnostics are required for warranty support. If you are disconnected and need meter warranty support, you will need to reconnect your system for the season. Your warranty’s time period does not pause while you are disconnected. Disconnects that occur during the middle of the month are not eligible for a pro-rated subscription fee. The whole month’s fee will apply regardless of disconnect date. You are not eligible to receive the SiteSync 5% discount while disconnected. Your system will need to be fully connected, and your first month’s bill paid, to become eligible for the discount after reactivation.
